It has been a busy and creative time in the Art Ro It has been a busy and creative time in the Art Room! ☀️
All students had the opportunity to create this amazing artwork inspired by the theme “Shine Bright Like the Sun.” Through this activity, students reflected on what it means to be the sunshine in someone else’s life — showing kindness, positivity and optimism. It was wonderful to see their creativity shine as they explored how a happy attitude can brighten the day for others. ✨🎨 Well done to Mrs Laming for another fabulous art creation! This amazing art piece is on display in the great space.

What a great opportunity our students had yesterday to celebrate World Hearing Day! Students learnt about hearing health from Ms Purcell the Principal of St Mary's, a tech session with Ian Riddle from Hearing Loop AUS and took part in an Auslan session with Miss Hynes. They 5/6 students lead the school in a performance of an Auslan song and past students of St Mary's Myisha and Amy came to share their experiences and stories. What a great morning at HT and St Mary's!!

In Italian our Year 5/6 students learned about ‘corsivo italiano’ (Italian cursive handwriting). They practised forming letters in this traditional style and had a go at writing their names using the new handwriting format.
Students then applied their language skills by writing a short paragraph about themselves in Italian, combining vocabulary, sentence structure, and their developing cursive writing.
Complimenti! A fantastic effort and focus shown by everyone!
